Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – 24 April 2025 – MUN Global Sdn Bhd (MUN), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hartalega Holdings Berhad (Hartalega) and a leading provider of healthcare protection solutions, is pleased to announce its acquisition of Medico Sdn Bhd (Medico), a respected distributor of medical and healthcare products in Malaysia. The signing ceremony took place on 2 April 2025, officiated by Hartalega Chief Executive Officer, Kuan Mun Leong, together with Medico’s Founder and Managing Director, En. Mohd Nazri Bin Mahajar.

Established in 2008, Medico has built a strong reputation as a trusted partner within Malaysia’s hospital sector. The company markets its own MEDISCIENCE brand and distributes a diverse range of healthcare products, including MUN nitrile examination gloves and Medizar, a UK-imported hard surface disinfectant. With 17 years of experience and a solid track record particularly within the government hospital segment, Medico brings deep expertise and a complementary portfolio to the MUN business.

Through this acquisition, Medico becomes part of the MUN family, strengthening MUN’s ability to serve both private and government healthcare institutions nationwide. MUN products are already used in the majority of private hospitals in Malaysia. By integrating Medico’s longstanding relationships in the government sector, the partnership creates a strategic platform for expanded customer access, improved service coverage, and deeper market penetration across both segments.

This collaboration enhances MUN product diversification, broadens its portfolio of healthcare solutions, and accelerates opportunities for future product development for both local and international markets.
